The Girls Basketball Team played a great first half against the 5th seeded Cavaliers last night in Hollis, but the Cavs proved to be too much in the second half as Hollis Brookline will move on with a 55-27 win. Congratulations to the girls who worked hard all season and especially to the Seniors Bella Ross and Shea Hansen. We wish them both the best.

The Varsity Boys Basketball Team battled the number 3 West Blue Knights to the end however the Knights proved to be just too much as Milford fell 58-46. The Spartans got down 12-5 after the first quarter but came back to go ahead 19-18 in the second quarter before West finished the quarter strong to go up 28-23 at the half. The game went back and forth throughout the 3rd, but West was able to hold its lead to be up 40-33. Milford fought hard to take back the lead but West hit their free throws down the stretch to win it.Ethan Szopa, playing in his last game led Milford with 11 points followed by Ben Emerson with 10.Congratulations to the Spartans on a good season and a strong finish despite the loss.

Wednesday night the Admiral Hockey Team picked up a 7-0 win over D1 Portsmouth.Luke Green scored two goals for Milford, while Chris Bozza and Dylan MacLeod chipped in with one. Luke also had 2 assists and Landon Briand, Mason Tomkins and Dylan MacLeod added one each. On Saturday, the Admirals won again 3-0 over Nashua North/South, 3-0 to lock in the #1 spot for the play-offs. Milford will host Somersworth/Coe-Brown in the Quarterfinals this coming Saturday. On Friday, February 27th the JV Girls Basketball Team picked up the lone win against Pembroke 48-28. The Varsity Girls lost to the undefeated Green Spartans, as did the Reserve, JV and Varsity Boys.On Saturday, the JV Boys battled Merrimack Valley to the end in the Semi Finals 42-35. and fell to ConVal in the consolation game.Congratulations to all our Seniors in their last home games last week, however both teams qualified for the play-offs. More About Busy Week for our Spartans
Senior Night at Skate 3 was a memorable night for the 3 Milford Seniors as they beat Timberlane/Pelham 7-0 getting 96 shots on goal. Luke Green led the way for Milford with 4 goals and Mason Tomkins had a goal and an assist. Chris Bozza led the team with 2 assists and Jameson Thurrott finished with one. Congratulations to our Seniors, Mason, Chris and Landon Briand. On Saturday, the Boys Basketball Teams traveled to Hanover to play the defensive minded Bears of Hanover and both teams fell to the Bears. JV lost 68-39 and the Varsity lost 53-34. More About Busy Weekend for Our Spartans
Congratulations to both JV and Varsity Basketball Teams as they each knocked off the Bears of Hanover last night. The JV team dominated from start to finish in a respectful way, and proved to be too much for Hanover as the girls won 43-8. Noelle Cotreau and Piper Ross dominated play inside and on the boards and also led a balanced attack with 10 and 8 points respectively.The Varsity needed to battle throughout the game with some great defense to beat the Bears 35-27 on Senior Night. Congratulations to both Shea Hansen and Bella Ross for their commitment to the program over these past 4 years. Shea finished with 18 points and both Lexi Bausha and Jordyn Shaw each chipped in with 6. Bella not only started and finished the game, but also captivated the audience by singing the national anthem before the game. What a great night.

The Swim Teams travelled to the UNH Swasey Pool for the D2 Championships. The Boys placed 11 out of 32 teams with one qualifier while the girls placed 4th with only 4 qualifiers.Jack Bastarache placed 6th in the boys 500 M Freestyle while on the girls side. Willa Audley was State Champion in the Girls 200 Freestyle and 2nd in the Girls 500M Freestyle. Hannah Baron took home the State Championship in both the 50 and 100 M Freestyle. The Girls 200M and 400 M Freestyle Relays took 3rd and 2nd respectively featuring Hannah, Willa, Shilo Chappell and Evelynn Kirshberger in both.

Friday Night the Girls basketball team headed over Temple Mountain to take on the Cougars of ConVal and beat the Cougars 44-30. The Boys Basketball Teams hosted the Cougars and the JV team won 61-44 behind 17 points from Parker Antonowicz and 13 each from Dylan Barber and Jacob Hill. Cooper Pare and Jacob Hill dominated the boards and played some great defense for Milford. The Varsity team got down 20-5 after one quarter, but stormed back to win the next 3 quarters 52-15 and pull out the 57-35 win. Ben Emerson led the Spartans with 22 points followed by Tyler Constable with 10 and Jack Bonifelia with 9. Maliki Blay did a great job on the boards and Ethan Szopa was all over the floor on defense and shut down the Cougar leading scorer drawing 3 offensive fouls on him. he Wrestling team finished its last home meet with a 65-16 win over Portsmouth High School last night. Brandon Leeman came back in the 3rd period after being down to pin his opponent to highlight the night. Connor Hartigan, Colton Schuster, Kiki Lorden, Max Hammerstrom, Cam Stickney, Tanner Herbert, Phillip Wright, Jack Clancy, and Eli Wales also had wins for Milford. The JV Boys Basketball team hosted Coe Brown last night and the JV group continued shooting the ball well from deep to pick up the victory 82-56. Girls JV and Varsity Basketball travelled to Coe Brown and the JV team pick up another win 39-22 over the Bears, however the Varsity Girls came out with a 66-39 loss. Shea Hansen had 17 points and Lexi Bausha 10 to lead the Spartans.

Coe Brown Northwood Academy travelled to Milford last night to take on our Varsity Boys team in a 4 pm game. Both teams shot the ball well, but the Bears proved to be a bit better and beat the Spartans 82-71. Tyler Constable led Milford with 20 points followed by Ben Emerson with 17, Will Emerson with 12 and Ethan Szopa with 10. Ethan Morin and Chris Carr did a nice job on the boards, and Ethan Szopa also played well on Defense for the Spartans. The Bowling team made up their Match from the Weekend yesterday afternoon and went to 3 games in the Consolation game before just getting knocked out in the final game in the final frame of the Baker Games. The Team bowled their high score in the baker games for the season with a 144 as well as their next two best scores. Tristan Xavapy again led Milford scoring a 148 and Avery Porter had his best game of the year with a 119 in the individual scoring.
