Friday Night the Girls basketball team headed over Temple Mountain to take on the Cougars of ConVal and beat the Cougars 44-30.
The Boys Basketball Teams hosted the Cougars and the JV team won 61-44 behind 17 points from Parker Antonowicz and 13 each from Dylan Barber and Jacob Hill. Cooper Pare and Jacob Hill dominated the boards and played some great defense for Milford.
The Varsity team got down 20-5 after one quarter, but stormed back to win the next 3 quarters 52-15 and pull out the 57-35 win. Ben Emerson led the Spartans with 22 points followed by Tyler Constable with 10 and Jack Bonifelia with 9. Maliki Blay did a great job on the boards and Ethan Szopa was all over the floor on defense and shut down the Cougar leading scorer drawing 3 offensive fouls on him.
Saturday Morning the Bowling Team travelled to Keene NH to participate in their final meet of the season and had some personal best scores along the way:
Mavrick Spirito had a high score for the season with a 121
Andrew Flockton had his high for the season with a 128.
Tristan Xavary beat his top scores with a 155 and 161 for a 316 total and a great shot to participate in the Individuals Championship on February 28th.
As a team, the team beat their single game and double game team scores with a 575 and 1045 total. In the Baker games, the team scored in triple digits in each game, the best for the season.
Great Finish
Also on Saturday the JV Wrestling team placed 5th at the JV State Tournament. Devin Woods and Lukas Mangum were State Champions, Caden Schuster placed 2nd and Brendan Mazzerall placed 3rd.
The Varsity Team travelled to Salem and beat the Host School, Salem, Manchester Memorial and Manchester Central to finish the season with only one loss on the year as they head into the D2 State Championships this next Saturday at Goffstown.
Saturday Evening the Admiral Ice Hockey Team beat Lebanon-Mascoma 5-2. Luke Green led Milford with 2 goals and an assist, while Dylan MacLeod pitched in with a goal. Wyatt Pepin, Mason Tompkins and Landon Briand also had an assist for Milford.
The Bowling Team is the winner of this week's team of the week as the team had high scores throughout the morning, individually and as a team. Devin Woods and Lukas Mangum won wrestling individual honors, each with a JV State Championship at the State Tournament at Timberlane Regional High School, while Willa Audley and Hannah Baron won State Championships at the Girls Swimming D2 States to take home the Girls Honors.
