The Volleyball Team traveled to Pinkerton Academy for the Semi Final match up with undefeated Oyster River. The Spartans came out strong to win game one. The Bobcats came back to win game 2. Not to be denied, Milford took the lead in Game #3, but Oyster River came back and won the game 25-23 and went on to win game 4 and win it 3-1. The Spartans had a great run to get back to the final 4 two years in a row. Congratulations to our Seniors Piper Greenhalgh, Kassie Cupin, Shilo Chappell, Paige Davis, Frankie Greene, Savannah Watson, Anagha Pillai, and Abigail Walters and the entire Volleyball Team on a great run.

The Girls Soccer team had a great run this season, but it ended last night in Exeter against Hollis Brookline in the Semi Finals. The girls should be proud as they continued to make improvements with each game throughout the year and we wish our three Seniors Alivia Mazzeo, Shea Hansen, and Camy Sayward the very best as they finished a fine career here at Milford.

Congratulations to the Girls Volleyball Team on a 3-1 win last night against Campbell High School. Campbell came out on fire to try and make the upset bid however the Spartans came back to win the next 3 games and take the Match. Savannah Watson came up big at the net with 20 hard spikes for the ace. Kassie Cupin led the way with 36 assists and 9 aces on the serve. Piper Greenhalgh led the way with 20 digs. The team next will host Hanover High School at 6 pm on Saturday. Tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for Students and Senior Citizens. This is a state sponsored event, so all students and staff must pay the entry fee
More About Volleyball Advances to Quarterfinals with Win over Campbell
Friday afternoon the Boys Varsity Soccer Team traveled to Lebanon to finish off their season. Unfortunately they fell 3-0 to the Raiders. Congratulations to seniors Aidan Loughran, Tiegen Barb and Stephen Abair on finishing out a fine career at Milford including a state championship a year ago. The Girls Soccer Team hosted the Raiders on Senior night and finished with a 1-0 win over Lebanon to earn a 4th place seed in the upcoming state tournament. They will have a bye in the first round and then host John Stark next Saturday afternoon. Shea Hanson scored on a penalty kick in the last 5 minutes to win it for Milford. Congratulations to Alivia Mazzeo, Camy Sayward and Shea Hansen who were acknowledged as our 3 seniors playing in their last regular season home game. The Football Team traveled to ConVal and came back with a late score, but it was not enough as the Cougars came away with a 21-19 win. Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team as they came back in the 5th and deciding set, down 13-12 to win it 15-13. Souhegan, who beat Milford at their place earlier in the season, won the 1st game, then Milford came back to win the next two before a comeback by the Sabers set up an exciting Game 5 Spartan win. Congratulations to Seniors, Kassie Cupin, Piper Greenhalgh, Shilo Chappell, Frankie Greene, Abby Walters and Anagha Pillai who were read speeches by teammates after the game. It was a very moving evening with some dramatic game action. Great job girls. The JV and Reserve Teams also played the Sabers and unfortunately fell 2-0 for each of them.

The Girls Soccer Team started the weekend off with a 1-0 win over the Spartans of Pembroke. It was a physical battle by both Spartan Teams, but Milford prevailed as Trinity Millner had 4 saves for Milford to preserve the shut out. The Football team hosted the 4-2 Saints of St. Thomas on Friday Night and had a great first drive before St. Thomas stopped them on a turnover. and scored two straight to go up 13-0. However Milford came back to make it 13-7, before the Saints scored again to make it 19-7. Milford was not to be denied and steamrolled down the field to score and kick the extra point and make it 19-14 going into the half. Turnovers plagued the Spartans in the second half, as we struggled to find the endzone as St. Thomas scored two more times to win it 32-14. We were right there with them had it not been for the turnovers. We were right in the game all night. The Boys JV Soccer Team started the afternoon off with a great 1-0 victory over Pembroke Academy. Bhavya Patel scored for Milford with an assist from Asher Maguire. Elijah Sherman made some great saves in goal to help preserve the win. The Boys Varsity Team scored first, then the Spartans of Pembroke battled back to win it 3-1. Our four seniors, Aidan Loughran, Gabe St. Onge, Stephen Abair and Tiegen Barb all played well for Milford in their final home game. We wish them all the best in their final two games next week at Souhegan and Lebanon The Volleyball teams travelled to Manchester Memorial for a match up with the Crusaders. The JV team won the first set 25-19, then lost the second in a tight game 25-23. The Crusaders won the deciding game 15-12. The Boys Soccer Teams traveled to Campbell High School.The JV team played tough the first half but could not make a comeback in a 4-1 loss. Asher Maguire scored for Milford while Bhavya Patel got the assist. The Varsity Boys Soccer team lost to last years runner up 4-0. In Volleyball, the Reserve team fell in the 3rd set to lose to Plymouth 2-1. Olive Clegg did a great job serving for Milford. The JV Team won 2-0 in two very close sets 25-22 and 25-23. Eva Grochala had a great game with her play at the net and serving for Milford. The Varsity Team beat the Bobcats 3-0, 25-12, 25-14 and 25-19. Kassie Cupin had 18 assists and 11 digs. The Girls Soccer Team hosted Keene and jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the half, but the Blackbirds came back with two goals in the 2nd half to pick up the win. It was a busy Columbus Day Weekend will all teams in action. On Friday, the Field Hockey Team traveled to Derryfield for a game with the Cougars on the Turf Field. Emma Freeman scored for the Spartans, but it was not enough as the Cougars prevailed. The Varsity Football Team traveled to Souhegan for a match up with the Sabers. Except for one Saber, the Spartans were able to keep everyone else in check, but it was not enough as the Spartans lost, but were able to score on the undefeated Sabers. The JV Spartans Football Team hosted Souhegan yesterday afternoon. It was a rough start but the Spartans figured some things out in the second half and played the Sabers even, holding them to 0 second half points. Also on Friday night the Soccer Teams hosted ConVal. The Field Hockey team hosted the second seeded Generals of John Stark, and could not break through against the Generals in the loss. The Soccer Teams finished the night 3-0 with wins over Laconia. The Girls Team traveled to Laconia and came away with a 2-1 victory. Mya Remella and Kinsley Matsis finished with 1 goal a piece and Trinity Millner finished with a save. The Boys Soccer team started the afternoon off with a 6-0 shutout over the Sachems. Eric Arsenov scored 2 goals for Milford. The Lady Spartans field hockey team put up a valiant fight in a makeup game yesterday afternoon against Lebanon High School, falling just one goal short in a thrilling 5-4 loss.The game began with Lebanon striking early, netting one goal in the first quarter and another early in the second. After that, both teams settled into an intense back-and-forth rhythm. The Spartans midfielders and forwards found their stride, working cohesively to push the ball deep into Lebanon’s circle multiple times.Senior Willa Audley broke the scoring drought for Milford, deflecting a beautiful pass from sophomore Emma Freeman into the cage.
